Welcome to GREENWAY
Nestled in a red barn encircled by the Brokenback Ranges and Wollombi Brook, you’ll find GREENWAY WINES — a small, family-owned and operated micro-boutique vineyard.
Our philosophy is simple: estate grown, single vineyard, handcrafted. We produce wines that are elegant, distinctive, and just a little different from the crowd.

• Natural, hand-crafted wines, made in small batches with limited releases • Exclusively available at our Red Barn Cellar Door
With passion and dedication, we craft around 500 cases each year — small in scale, but big in heart.
A New Chapter at Greenway
The vineyard was first planted in 1998, and in 2009 Anne Greenway became its proud custodian, later opening the Red Barn Cellar Door in 2016. For more than 15 years, Anne’s vision as both vigneron and architect shaped Greenway into a place where wine, design, and community meet.
On the 1st October 2025, Brett & Louise Dann became the new custodians of Greenway Wines. With deep roots in the Hunter dating back to 1839, and a lifelong passion for travel and terroir, Brett & Louise are proud to honour Anne’s remarkable legacy while guiding Greenway Wines into its next exciting era.
Our vision is simple: to preserve the boutique spirit that makes Greenway so special, while continuing to craft “road less travelled” wines for you to enjoy.
Our Wines
We are proud to produce an intimate and distinctive portfolio of wines, crafted exclusively from fruit grown at our vineyard here in Broke Fordwich:
• Fiano – crisp, textural, and food-friendly; a true signature of the vineyard
• Pinot Grigio – vibrant and Italian in style, now one of our most popular wines
• Sparkling Merlot – playful, fruit-driven bubbles with a Hunter twist
• Sparkling Fiano – bright, elegant, and refreshingly different
• Grace (Fiano/Gewürztraminer blend) – aromatic, perfumed, and unique to Greenway
• Merlot – soft, plush, and deeply varietal; a Hunter favourite
• Shiraz – expressive and elegant, a red with both strength and finesse
• D’Oro Gewürz – a golden late-harvest style, luscious yet balanced, celebrating the beauty of Gewürztraminer
• Red Barn Verjuice – vibrant, zesty and versatile; a non-alcoholic expression perfect for cooking, cocktails, or a refreshing sip
Looking ahead, Vintage 2026 promises exciting firsts and returns:
• Teraldego – a northern Italian red with incredible depth, making its Hunter Valley debut here at Greenway
• Sabine Rosé – a much-loved favourite returning to the collection
• The Forger Port – a nod to tradition, reborn with our artisanal touch
Every wine we make is a limited release, available only through our cellar door. Each bottle captures not just the terroir of Broke Fordwich, but also the passion we pour into every vintage.

We invite you to our secret garden and Red Barn Cellar Door to taste the vineyard, meet us, and discover the Hunter Valley’s hidden gem of Broke Fordwich.
