Private Vineyard Experiences

Introducing our Brokenback Fireside Experiences

Big Red Barn Cellar Door

Experience Our Intimate & Distinctive Portfolio Of Wines

Boutique & Family-Owned

Small but mighty, Greenway Wines is a family-owned micro-boutique vineyard set along a quiet road less travelled in Broke Fordwich, in the Hunter Valley. Nestled beside the gently flowing Wollombi Brook and framed by the striking Brokenback Mountain Range, our vineyard is a place to slow down, breathe deeply, and savour the moment.

Surrounded by lush gardens, open skies and secluded corners, Greenway offers a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where guests are encouraged to linger, slow down & sip it slow. Whether you’re sharing a tasting with friends, enjoying a quiet moment under the mulberry tree, or soaking in the peaceful vineyard views, every visit is designed to feel personal, unhurried and genuinely connected.

Tastings are held in our character-filled “Big Red Barn” cellar door, outdoors under the pergola or in the orchard – allowing you to enjoy the experience in a way that suits your day. It’s all part of what makes Greenway feel like more than just a stop on a wine trail.

From private celebrations and long-table gatherings, to small group tastings, spontaneous visits, romantic afternoons, and everything in between. Each shared bottle and conversation at the Red Barn reminds us why this place matters.

We may be a small vineyard, but we pour our heart into everything we do. From the vines we tend to the experiences we create for every guest who visits.

Small family vineyard. Big heart. Wines worth the detour.

The Wines

At the heart of Greenway Wines is a passion for crafting elegant, small-batch wines that take a slightly different path from the traditional Hunter Valley offering. Our range celebrates both classic and alternative varieties, including vibrant Pinot Grigio, crisp Fiano and a beautifully balanced Fiano–Gewürztraminer blend, alongside sparkling Fiano, sparkling Merlot, Rosé, supple Merlot and a luscious dessert wine. Each wine is thoughtfully made from estate-grown fruit, expressing both character and a sense of place.

This year carries something quietly historic, on the 10th February 2026, we harvested a variety never grown in the Hunter Valley – Teroldego.

For centuries it has flourished in northern Italy, prized for its deep ruby colour, vibrant natural acidity and savoury, finely structured palate. And now, for the first time, it has taken root here in our Broke Fordwich soils. We have named it Inizio – the beginning.  A beginning for the Hunter, introducing a new varietal voice to the region and in many ways a beginning for us as the new custodians.

The fruit arrived with remarkable depth of colour and natural vibrancy. Fine tannins, dark cherry & a subtle herbal edge. In the winery now, it is being guided with restraint and patience.

Alongside Inizio, the 2026 season also brings restocking of much-loved favourites including Pinot Grigio, Fiano/Gewurztraminer blend, Sparkling Fiano, plus the return of Sabine Rosé, The Forger Tawny, and of course our Shiraz.

Brett and Lou were absolutely lovely. They had an extensive knowledge on wines and produced a great product. The place was beautiful, the food and wine pairing were delicious and honestly couldn’t ask for better hosts. Highly recommend.

Our favourite place for a Sunday session! 🍷❤️ We absolutely love visiting Greenways Vineyard. It has become one of those special places we keep coming back to because it’s just such a beautiful, relaxed and welcoming spot for the whole family. We love spending our Sundays here with the kids — they can have a good run around and enjoy the beautiful open space while we sit back, relax and enjoy a glass (or two!) of their amazing wine. And the fact that the dogs are welcome makes it even better! 🐶 The wine is amazing, and the antipasto platters are absolutely to die for — the perfect combination for a long, lazy afternoon. Whether you’re sitting under the beautiful shady trees or soaking up the sunshine, the surroundings are gorgeous and make it so easy to settle in and stay for hours. And then there’s Brett and Lou. They are two of the friendliest and most welcoming people you’ll meet and genuinely go above and beyond every time we visit. Their customer service is amazing, and you can tell they really care about their guests and making sure everyone has a wonderful experience. We just love coming here. It’s family-friendly, dog-friendly, beautiful, relaxed and has incredible wine, food and people. Greenways has definitely become one of our favourite places in the Hunter Valley, and we can’t recommend Brett, Lou and their beautiful vineyard highly enough! ❤️🍷🌿

An amazing boutique winery in the picturesque part of the Hunter Region. We booked for a Luxe Picnic experience and could not be happier with their wines, service and the experience itself. The cheese and charcuterie board was amazing - everything delicious and presented in such a lovely way. Being able to do a slow wine tasting (with very generous pours!) was also such a bonus. We spent 3 hours at the winery and went home calling this the best experience of our entire Hunter trip, while taking home half a dozen of their wines (they are that good, also unusual varieties for the Hunter region). I could not recommend this winery & their picnic experience highly enough!

We were staying within walking distance of the 'Greenway Wines' winery, so we decided to book the "Luxe Picnic Experience" in the afternoon to allow us both to do some wine tasting. They set us up in front of their garden, in comfortable chairs, with an absolutely stunning view (see picture). When the first platter came out, we were astonished at how big it was (see picture)! And after this 'meal', there were even two more 'courses' with sandwiches and brownies/chocolates. It all tasted delicious... During the afternoon, we were served (the service is excellent!) generous pours of the wines 'Greenway Wines' has to offer, and there is nothing wrong with the wines they produce! My two cents of advice: For Greenway Wines: - Please fix up the website, because the online booking system doesn't work at the moment. (I was contemplating reducing a star, but that would be silly because the experience itself was fantastic.) - For potential customers: If you want to spoil yourself, I would recommend the "Luxe Picnic Experience". But one word of advice: don't eat prior to the experience, and you definitely won't eat afterwards. 😉

Greenway Wines in Broke was a beautiful experience for the 3 of us. The owners are Brett and Louise, both of whom are very friendly, kind, generous and warm hearted. They made us feel like we were their priority as they served us delicious wine tastings paired with chocolates, nice cheeses, homemade chutney, honey and fruit. They even have these beautiful, fun, custom made fabric coasters with entertaining wine sayings on them ... such a special extra touch of class! Their variety of wines is great and their quality and selection is superb They have a wine club which is worth joining to get the benefits of their lovely wines being delivered every 6 months with a choice of 6 or 12 bottles. Their vineyard setting is set alongside a creek, and it's very pretty and peaceful as you sit amongst their fruit tress, with a view onto the vines in the distance They are only open from a Friday through to Sunday, so be sure to travel through on one of those days, to avoid disappointment. This is one winery you must visit, on your rounds or you will be missing out on a wonderful experience. A big thank you to both Brett and Louise for making it so special for us, from Shari et al.

Absolutely amazing experience! 🍷✨ Louise and Brett were the most incredibly generous and welcoming hosts, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and there was something so special about sitting back, enjoying their beautiful wines, listening to music and simply taking in the views. It was the perfect place to slow down, relax and completely unwind. We had such a wonderful time and couldn’t recommend this winery highly enough. If you’re looking for a beautiful, relaxed and genuinely special winery experience, make sure you visit Louise and Brett. We’ll definitely be back! ❤️🍇

Best tasting experience I’ve had in the Hunter region. The wines were exceptional, and the cheese and chocolate pairings were the icing on the cake. The warm, relaxed, quiet country vibe also made this experience stand out.
